    I had the same problem when I connected my website email as a second email address with ATT DSL. It set up and received, but would not send. ATT said they no longer are licensed to deal with MS issues and would not help.

    I figured out the problem.

    Check the numbers in the port used as the sending section of your existing email address. Change the preset numbers in the add email info to the same numbers. This is not done automatically.

    Works fine. So much for the third party fee based bozos that ATT wanted me to call.
