Apple is finally selling the iPhone 3G online

Apple may be clearing inventory to make way for one or more new iPhone models by making the iPhone available for consumers to buy via their website. However, only those new to AT&T will be able to complete the entire purchase online. Existing customers will still have to go into their local Apple Store to pick up their phone.
