musicmatch jukebox

This is the best software for "ripping" (copying) music off of your music CD's, converting them into MP3 files (compacted audio files), and putting them on your computer's hard drive. Then you can listen to it via your computer, and you don't have to use up the life of your CD-ROM drive. Make sure you "rip" them at a bitrate of 128 or higher to get CD quality sound.

my yahoo! page

This is cool to have as your homepage. A homepage is the first webpage that comes up when you open your Internet Browser (which is the program that you are using to view this page right now). You can customize your My Yahoo page so that it has the news that you want, your horoscope, your favorite sports team's scores, the comics that you want, movie showtimes in your area, your favorite tv channels' schedules, your favorite colors as the colors of the webpage, etc.

While you're at it, you might as well sign up for Yahoo! Mail so you can have an email address to use when you buy something online so you won't get bombarded with junk email at your regular email address.

newegg.com

This is the place to buy parts for the computer that you are building, rebuiding, upgrading, or whatever else you might be doing to it. They are very quick in processing your order, use FedEx Express to ship it, and their prices are killer. They also allow users to post their reviews of the products so you can check out whether or not a product is worth buying. This is where I buy most of my parts.

paypal.com

This is a very useful service. You can send money via email to anyone. All they need is an email address. When you send that person money via PayPal.com, all they have to do is sign up for a PayPal account, and they can just withdraw the money directly into their bank account. Very convenient to use when you are buying/selling something on ebay.com. However, you can use it for anything.

Note: PayPal.com was recently acquired by ebay.com, which, as you might know, is a multi-billion dollar online auction company. Very stable and secure. So there are no worries using this service.

pricewatch.com

A great site to use when looking for the best deals on computer related items, however it is hard to beat newegg.com.

qixo.com

This is the best site when it comes to looking for deals on flights and hotels. It works just like hotwire.com, however this site not only gives you the price with no obligation, but it also gives all of the flight info, including the airline, the flight number, and the exact times of the flights. Sometimes this site will beat hotwire.com, and sometimes hotwire.com will have the better deal. It is best to try both. Good luck!

radiostorm.com

Radiostorm.com has some killer Internet radio stations. They sound a lot better if you have a broadband connection (cable/dsl/T1), but it is still pretty sweet on 56k (dial-up).

script-o-rama.com

You can download the script/screenplay for pretty much any movie from this website.

shoutcast.com

Shoutcast.com has an extensive list of Internet radio stations that you can choose from. Just select the genre you are looking for, and it will list them in order of popularity.

spamarrest.com

If you want to stop spam cold, then this is definitely the service to get! The way it works is when someone sends you an email for the first time after you sign up for the service, they will be sent an email with a link to a page asking them for verification. All they have to do is type in a code. Then, after that, their email will go straight to your inbox.

The spammers software is not setup to verify email that is sent out. So their email will never reach your inbox. And you can still go in and check the email that was not verified in case you think some legitimate email is in there. But I can almost guarantee there won't be, unless someone did not take the time to verify their email. Click here for a free 30 day trial.

symantec's list of internet hoaxes

Symantec is the company that makes the Norton Anti-Virus software, among other things, and this is their list of Internet Hoaxes. So, if you get an email saying that you may have gotten a virus, or you can earn loads of cash by "forwarding this letter", then go here to find out the real deal.
