How to Repair Disk Permissions on a Mac

Every time you install a program or perform a Software Update, you need to repair your disk permission. Often, when you install something on a Mac, the file permissions are changed. So, in order to keep your Mac running optimally, it is best to repair your disk permissions after you install something or perform a Software Update.
