How to Delete or Change the Header or Footer on the First Page of a Document in Microsoft Word
Are you creating a document in MS Word (Mac or PC), and have a title page that you don’t want your main header or footer to be on, or you want a different header or footer to be on the first page of the document? Well, there is an easy way to achieve that:
Here it is:
- Open your document
- Go to the VIEW menu and select “HEADER and FOOTER”
- Look in the TOOLBAR for the HEADER and FOOTER section
- Check the box next to “Different First Page”
- Either put a different header or footer on the first page, or leave it blank if you don’t want one on the first page
- In the document, either in the header or footer, click “close”
- Done!
