Every time you install a program or perform a Software Update, you need to repair your disk permission. Often, when you install something on a Mac, the file permissions are changed. So, in order to keep your Mac running optimally, it is best to repair your disk permissions after you install something or perform a Software Update.

If you have a Mac, it is important that you perform a Software Update every so often. You can actually set it so that your Mac automatically downloads the updates and notifies you when it does.
I explain how to do that in the video below. I also show you how to Repair Disk Permissions, which is something you should always do after you install a program or perform a Software Update.
