This will make sure you computer runs optimally.<\/p>\n<p>Here is how to Repair Disk Permissions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Double-click on Macintosh HD (upper right of your screen)<\/li>\n<li>Click on Applications on left side of window<\/li>\n<li>Double-click on the &#8220;Utilities&#8221; folder to open it<\/li>\n<li>Double-click on &#8220;Disk Utility&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Click on your hard drive (not the one that says how large the hard drive is, the one below it that is a little indented that most likely says &#8220;Macintosh HD&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>Click the &#8220;Repair Disk Permissions&#8221; button in the bottom center portion of the window<\/li>\n<li>Let it do its thing until it tells you it is finished (&#8220;Permissions repair complete&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>When it&#8217;s done, close everything and you&#8217;re good to go<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whenever you install something new on a Mac or perform a Software Update, it is always good to repair your disk permissions.
